  • "Abstract art focuses on the natural world. This work is filled with nostalgia for childhood and emphasizes the vulnerability of human beings. I use gold leaf and silver leaf to create this work. I also apply layers of paint and resin to the canvas. This process results in a unique look. "<br />
<br />
Jan Keteleer is known for his oil paintings depicting lone figures. His latest pieces are more impressionistic and depict women in the water. While the works don't depict animals, they feature scenes of tropical paradises and women immersed in water. These images create a unique mood and inspire Jan Keteleer to create more intricate works. His paintings are a reflection of his unique vision of the world. You can explore his work online or at a gallery.<br />
<br />
Jan Keteleer's paintings explore the baptismal surround and the effervescent bubbles cutting through the viridian abyss. His work is meant to convey the true essence of immersion, whether it be physical mental or spiritual. In addition to painting the human body underwater, he has also explored its relationship with water for over 15 years. This fascination has influenced his work, and his paintings are filled with human emotion.

  • I got the idea for this piece from seeing how women make themselves up. With the many colors of their makeup they can change themselves completely. Sometimes you think , as a simple man, that they recreate themselves through their colors. That's why this abstract work where I draw a woman composed entirely of different colors.

  • I based this abstract work on the feeling you get when you still have to go out on an autumn evening.<br />
With an overcoat on and an umbrella in hand, you are swallowed by the wind and rain outside. You become unrecognizable in the night on the sparsely lit road surface.

  • From my childhood, I have been in awe of the artist Picasso. What makes him so special is that throughout his life he was different style master and worked with all the techniques available. His quote, "It took me 4 years to learn to paint like Caravaggio, but all my life to learn to paint like a child."<br />

This portrait of a woman belongs in my series created with Picasso in my mind.

  • This digital painting is inspired by the work of Patrick Nagel. For those in the know, it looks nothing like the work of this great artist. It is therefore not a copy, which is what I cannot do, but if you look closely, the woman here, is painted with a similar technique.

  • When it rains, everything becomes the same color and people are styled by their rainwear and umbrella.<br />
The hoods become blurred and the road surface becomes a river where you can no longer distinguish the stones from each other.<br />
<br />
I wish to portray that feeling with this abstract work where you can distinguish two walkers who are invariably on their way to the red light far away from them.<br />
<br />
Is it their home or an inn. Who knows?
    regen 5.psd
  • I based this abstract work on a scene I recently saw in Antwerp.<br />
In the diamond district there you see people completely dressed in black with a briefcase wndelen. Nothing special, you might say, but suddenly I see a big man walking in the rain. The water was pouring down; I was soaked but the man was holding his own. He was holding a small umbrella. He probably took his daughter's umbrella with him.
    regen 4.psd
  • It's cold and wet and yet you go outside to brave the wind and rain. Sounds familiar don't you think... especially if you have a dog.<br />
<br />
With this abstract work I want to represent those days when no dog wants to leave the house.<br />
<br />
The figure is stylized to just the overcoat and boots while the umbrella covers the head. <br />
The figure is bent while the boots are firmly on the ground. It is obviously windy, sow this intrepid person standing in a storm thinking that a warm stove will soon be waiting at home.

    Constructivisme 1.psd
  • The tristesse runs off her face. This woman has been widowed for years but she still misses her husband. She still wears a black head scarf and finds it hard to hold back her tears when she thinks of him.
    Portret abstract 6.psd
  • I intentionally made this portrait in the style of Picasso. The woman herself is a lady of noble birth who immediately reminded me of Picasso's portraits. Her descent did compel me to make her anonymous to the general public, hence the title.
    Portret abstract 7.psd
  • Sometimes you come across, people with a distinct face. This woman entered my studio and her personality immediately filled the room; I can't remember how tall she was or how she walked dressed. Only her face has stayed with me.
    Portret abstract 10.psd
  • This girl entered my studio as if she had just starred in a movie from the 1930s. She was heavily made up and her red lips were accentuated by her pale skin. Her striking red coat did the rest, she became the girl who loves red.
    Portret abstract 9.psd
  • I couldn't resist when I portrayed this teenage girl. She has a rather angular face and her hair neatly made up. She kept looking sullen, she had to be portrayed against her will by her parents, but when I told a joke she started blushing incessantly.
    Portret abstract 8.psd
  • You sometimes see a dark shadow when you are walking in the city. That gave me the idea to make this little work. <br />
Like in the city, you see a shadow like that but you know, and often see, at the same time, the colors of the lights.
    Portret abstract 4.psd
  • Is it a man or a woman, This question need not be asked. With a few lines I have drawn here the impression of a body and like a cyclops he or she looks at the world through that one eye.
    Portret abstract 1.psd
  • Unlike my other portraits, I have now searched for which lines make up a face. With 1 full line, I drew the outline here and added only eyes, nose, ears and mouth.
    Portret abstract 3.psd
  • A fully stylized portrait of an anonymous woman; I used green as the main color to detach the portrait from eneige reality, allowing this woman's portrait to be detached from her body and giving the viewer the guess of her character, the mystery that every woman exudes.
    Portret abstract 2.psd
  • This digital painting is inspired by the work of Patrick Nagel. For those in the know, it looks nothing like the work of this great artist. It is therefore not a copy, which is what I cannot do, but if you look closely, the woman here, is painted with a similar technique.
    Portret lijn 32.psd
  • Based on the work of Picasso, who is a great example for me, I created this portrait. I built up this work using different techniques, ranging from hotskool to oliverf, and put everything together to finish it digitally. I created this old-looking painting with the oldest technique (charcoal) and finished it with the latest (digital).
    Portret lijn 4.psd
  • This work was created through my knowledge of classical and modern art techniques that I apply digitally. The work is part of my series that I dedicate entirely to the female image in our society and their struggle to be recognized. In this series I portray powerful women alongside women who are open to showing their emotions. The observant viewer will notice that I take a run at the prevailing art styles that I freely mix into one work. I do not feel bound to expressionism, impressionism, fauvism or even pop art, for example. I mix them in such a way to express that not one but all art styles are the best that has been developed before.<br />
<br />
It is the same with people, there is no one better, more beautiful than the other; We are equal in all our differences has always been my point of view. Why I portray women the most is because I always stand up for the oppressed. It just so happens that many men hate women which I cannot understand.<br />
<br />
This work was printed by myself in 1 edition and is the "masterproof " for reproductions sold worldwide on various materials. The "masterproof" is available for sale upon request.<br />
<br />
Various sizes and prints on other materials are available here as reproductions of this work.

  • This digital painting is inspired by the work of Patrick Nagel. For those in the know, it looks nothing like the work of this great artist. It is therefore not a copy, which is what I cannot do, but if you look closely, the woman here, is painted with a similar technique.

  • This digital painting was inspired by a book on the history of architecture that I recently recovered. While flipping through the old book, I noticed that it contained mainly work by male architects. This while many ladies also practice the profession? Therefore, here is a rectification, a woman who has vision about architecture.

  • I created this work to reflect the feeling I occasionally have when I, yet again, have to go outside with my dogs on a rainy day.<br />
they are (veryà sweet animals and certainly worth getting wet once in a while;<br />
<br />
but this stylized figure simply depicts how I feel sometimes.<br />
But yes, once home a warm stove is waiting and my dogs pay me back with their friendship.

  • When you see someone walking in rain and wind, it is as if that person becomes one with his surroundings. The large raincoat, boots and umbrella reform someone into a headless zombie whose only purpose is to brave the storm.
    regen 8.psd
  • I got the idea for this stylized work when I was walking in the rain with an umbrella in my hand. The umbrella obstructed my view at the top. When I approached another person with an umbrella, it looked like my umbrella had an appointment with the other umbrella.

  • A man stands on the road over a railing looking at what is going on farther up the road. <br />
The man is wearing a tailored suit and holding an umbrella, which makes him unrecognizable.<br />

  • Most of us understand that loneliness can come in many forms. It can capture our hearts at any given moment. Whether you are physically alone, or if you feel alone in a large crowd, this nude woman lost in lonesome thought can speak to your feelings. There are even times in which we can even feel alone in the company of just one person we love very much. When that happens, it isn’t difficult to imagine the simple structure that traps the subject in this picture. All of us have been there. This piece is available as t-shirts, wall art, or interior products. .<br />

  • When a woman looks in the mirror to make herself up she looks very thoroughly at how she looks and what she wishes to change. This is something that a simple mind of a man, like me, cannot immediately understand. As an artist, I can understand it and I think they see themselves in abstract forms. Is this right, I don't know.
