Jaguar XK 120 1954 GLOSTER GLADIATOR zw.psd
The Jaguar XK 120 from 1954 is a true sports car. It was produced for racing in the W Midlands and won races in many countries including Britain, France, Belgium, and Holland. This one off car also holds the distinction of being the last of the 'Lamar Lark' models to be made by the then newly formed Jaguar. It has since then been immortalized as the car that won the 24-hour rally championship four times, as well as winning the Formula One World Grand Prix two times. Now this is one seriously fast classic car.
The car's bodywork is in a stunning red over black combination, the interior is all white with a plush leather finish and the car also has some non-functioning parts which make it road legal. Despite this it still has an exquisite look and sounds wonderful to drive. As it is such a great looking Jaguar it has been chosen to form the basis of a movie called 'Jaguar the Adventure' which was a far more serious movie based on the Jaguar brand. A few years later the film went into production with the new name'Jaguar XK 120".
The car is a full-size vehicle, which means it has a long wheelbase and can seat up to 6 people. Its development was begun in haste as only the finest materials were used in its construction which included aluminum, magnesium, and carbon fiber. The car today features a high-performance diesel engine, it also features 2 large side mirrors and a very modern-looking tailgate. This is one car that will have all the hallmarks of a true Jaguar and is likely to be a highly desirable collector's item in the future. Its price is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but the look and feel of the Jaguar XK 120 from 1954 certainly make it a winner!
