Local fishermen are found worldwide but the landscape in Africa adds an extra dimension. I painted this work in a figurative expressionist style with acrylic paint on panel. My goal is to portray the atmosphere of Africa with fishermen, men and women, who are catching fish with small nets on a sea, river or lake for their daily meal. Our world is always busy producing more and more, this work makes you stop and think about the essence of life.
