In the summer of 1959, Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia was introduced as one of the first "Achilles" type cars. Designed by VW Group, this car was intended to be a sporty car and it was, for the most part successful in doing so. This car has been said to be a "legend" by car lovers everywhere and it was designed by the legendary, Porsche.
This car was actually the first "Volkswagen", to use a gasoline powered engine. The Karmann Ghia had two types of engines; the gasoline diesel that could be changed into liquid chloroform and the gasoline that could be changed into liquid gasoline and then back again. This would make this vehicle very practical for anyone who would need a car for long trips and even for someone who just wanted a daily commuter car. It has been said that this vehicle would rival even the famous Mercedes Benz and BMW.
One of the more important aspects of this car is how well it was built. It was said to be extremely dependable which would make it perfect for anyone who wanted a dependable car. This car also used very efficient and low-emission engines. These two factors in combination would make these cars much more green and environmentally friendly. In addition to being very efficient, they were also very reliable, thanks to their transmissions. Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia was also very good on fuel mileage, something that just about every car owner could appreciate.
