Collage-25.psd
This collage came about because we were curious about the deep connection between ourselves and the places we live. Basically, it's a look at how our surroundings, especially cityscapes, influence who we are. The man's head, which is rooted in its raw, individual form, is crowned with an entire city, symbolising the weight of our experiences and the bustling world we carry with us.
The cityscape is full of detail and sprawls outwards, with roads, tall buildings and hidden alleys that reflect the complexities of human thought and identity. Each building and street represents a piece of memory, a moment, or an influence that has shaped the man. I wanted to show the tension between being alone and being part of a group, and the idea that even though we're all different, we're also all part of the same world.
It makes you think about your own identity and ask, "How much of me is the world around me? And how much of the world is me?"
