Creating the collection “Rainy Days” felt like painting the rhythm of nature itself. Rain has always held a profound duality for me—both lively and serene, chaotic yet calming. These paintings are my way of capturing that delicate balance, the way rain transforms familiar streets into shimmering mirrors, the way shadows and light dance together on wet surfaces.
To express this, I leaned into contrast—a deliberate play between heavy, somber tones and glimmers of reflected brightness. With thin glazes, I layered translucent textures to mimic the soft glow of light bouncing off puddles. Experimenting with spatter techniques allowed me to breathe movement into stillness, evoking the gentle fall of raindrops or their constant rhythm on a windowpane. The compositions embody both stillness and motion, inviting the viewer into a moment of quiet reflection while marveling at the intricate artistry of nature.
