Pontiac was an American car brand that sold cars in the United States, Canada and Mexico between 1926 and 2010. The brand was owned by General Motors and was positioned within that group in the middle class. Pontiac mainly built sporty, performance-oriented cars. On 27 April 2009, GM decided to discontinue the Pontiac brand due to the major problems it was facing. On November 25th of that same year the last Pontiac rolled off the tyre. On 31 October 2010, GM's parent company no longer renewed its contracts with dealers and the brand was definitively discontinued.
